Clitheroe Castle Wedding

A beautiful warm Mediterranean feeling was brought into the heart of an 18th century Lancastrian castle creating a very personal wedding day that united both the bride, groom and their families.

Italy, Mexico, Spain and of course Lancashire were all represented at the wedding of Al and Samantha who married at Clitheroe Castle.

The day began with a very English weather front, wet and windy but fear not for this Mediterranean marriage united in true style to bring out the warm afternoon sun which saw the bride and groom enjoy stunning views over the Ribble Valley from their reception balcony at Wellsprings Restaurant.

We used the couples favourite flowers of red anemone and yellow sunflowers in their bridal flowers which also emphasised the Mediterranean feel with the warm rich colours.

a very personal touch was added to Samantha's red anemone bouquet, a vintage broach holding a picture of her Grandparents
beautiful lace beaded bodice of the brides gown with flowing train perfectly reflect her personality and radiance
Together against the backdrop of 18th century Clitheroe Castle and stunning countryside beyond
simple pleasures of the Mediterranean decorated the wedding tables lit with blue iron candelabras

vintage vases and rustic pots filled with sage, rosemary, thyme and lavender brought the outside in and filled the room with beautiful scent
