In my garden today whilst procrastinating (love this word, probably because I am good at it) the redesign of my showroom, the sun was out, the sky blue and the flowers were beckoning me to enjoy their splendour.
It began with a couple of snaps of the camera lens of the pretty flower heads bobbing in the light breeze, then a couple or two snips of flower stems and away I went enjoying the sights, smells and sounds of the garden.
There is a big push towards … ‘British is best’ ….. as far as our home grown flowers go. Reduce the carbon foot print? Yes, it’s a benefit to all when we can but not only that, the British garden, what a splendid and therapeutic place to while away an hour or two and feel the stresses and strains of the day ebb away.
Don’t have a garden and envy those we see at RHS Chelsea? … borrow your neighbours for an hour … ask them first! A bit of weeding and I am sure they will be grateful and you will feel so much better.
